When you use Dialecto, we collect:

• Your email address and username (for your account)
• Lesson progress, XP, and streak data (to power your learning experience)
• Audio recordings submitted during speaking practice (processed immediately by OpenAI Whisper and not stored)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details)

2. How We Use It

Your data is used exclusively to operate and improve Dialecto. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

3. Third-Party Services

Dialecto uses the following third parties to operate:

• Anthropic — AI-powered feedback and lesson generation
• OpenAI — Speech-to-text transcription for speaking mode
• Stripe — Secure payment processing

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing us — we'll remove your data within 30 days.

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
